Sunderland, VT : Man dead after a tractor trailer crash on Route 7 in Sunderland on Sunday night, June 5, 2016

A man is dead after a tractor trailer crash in Sunderland. It happened on Route 7 just after 8 p.m. Sunday night.

Vermont state police say a tractor trailer went off the road and into the woods. A passerby called it in, stopped to help but told police the male driver was unconscious and not breathing. The driver was transported to the Southwest Vermont Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police are not releasing his name until his family has been notified.
