Phoenix, AZ: Three adults critically injured and Two Kids minorly injured group of people were hit by a car while trick-or-treating on Friday Night,31st October 2014
Three people were critically injured on Halloween night after a group of people were hit by a car while trick-or-treating.
A spokesperson with Phoenix Fire says five people were crossing Bethany Home Road at 41st Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. when they were hit by a vehicle. Phoenix Police say a 23-year-old woman who was in a wheelchair, as well as a 24-year-old man and an 8-year-old child, were all critically injured in the accident. Two other people, a 19-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy, suffered minor injuries in the crash. At least one of the children was dressed in a Halloween costume, and we're told the group was trick-or-treating when the accident happened.
All three of the critical-injury patients were rushed to the hospital. Fire crews say there is no crosswalk at this intersection. The driver of the car that hit the group remained on the scene. Police are continuing their investigation into this crash.
