COPIAH COUNTY, MS : Man who died in I-55 crash identified on Thursday, 3rd November 2016
Copiah County, Miisissippi
One person was killed on Thursday morning after a car crashed into trees off of I-55.
He has been identified as 42-year-old Howard S. McClendon from Crystal Springs.
Around 5:05 a.m., MHP was called out to the crash near the Copiah/Lincoln County line. After an investigation, MHP learned that a Chevrolet SUV was going north on I-55 when the driver lost control of his car and ran off the road, slamming into trees.
Officials say the driver was ejected from the car and killed immediately.
This accident is still being investigated.
