Las Vegas, NV : Metro Police officer injured in motorcycle crash near U.S. 95 and North Durango Drive on Friday afternoon, April 17, 2015

A Metro Police officer suffered minor injuries today after crashing his motorcycle in the northwest valley, police said.

The officer crashed about 2:45 p.m. near U.S. 95 and North Durango Drive, where there was an antifreeze slick on the road, Officer Larry Hadfield said.

The officer was being transported to University Medical Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, he said.

There were no road closures because of the accident, he said.
