Memphis, TN : Two men killed and One man injured in motorcycle crash on I-40 near Sycamore View on Saturday, April 18, 2015

Police say two people were killed in a motorcycle crash on I-40 near Sycamore View Road on Saturday night.

One other was taken to the hospital. At last check, she was in critical condition.

Officers say a pick-up truck was driving westbound on I-40 when a dog house fell out of the truck onto the highway. A 21-year-old, identified by police as Sergio Gomez, stopped to help get the dog house back in the truck.

Police say that's when 32-year-old Jimmy Mackey, who was driving a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle crashed into Gomez. Both were pronounced dead on the scene.

A 23-year-old woman, riding on the motorcycle, was transported in critical condition to the Regional Medical Center.

The crash blocked all lanes of traffic on westbound I-40 near Sycamore View Road for more than an hour Saturday night.
