Gatlinburg, TN : One dead, three injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Spur early Saturday morning on October 4, 2014

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park Rangers said one person died and three others were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on the Spur. In a press release, the rangers said they responded to call of a crash around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. They found one car had wrecked between the Legion Bridge and Beech Branch Road. Ashley M. Trent, 26, from Sneedville, Tenn. was pronounced dead at the scene. The three others were taken to UT Medical Center. Their conditions have yet to be released as of Saturday afternoon. The Gatlinburg Police Department, Gatlinburg Fire Department, and Sevier County Emergency Services also aided in transporting the survivors to safety.
