Naples, FL : Pedestrian hit and killed in crash in Collier County on Thursday, Nov 12, 2015

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was hit and killed in a crash in Naples Thursday just after 8 a.m.

The officer on duty reported that the pedestrian, 58-year-old John Montz, Jr. of Naples, was standing in the median of Airport Pulling Road, just north of Glades Boulevard. Montz, Jr. then darted in front of the vehicle and was struck. Montz was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead three hours later.
