TUCSON, AZ : Funeral held for Tucson man killed in central Phoenix crash on Saturday, 5th October 2024

Loved ones gathered Saturday, October 5 to celebrate the life of Dillon Mares, who was killed in a hit and run in Phoenix on September 22.

The funeral service highlighted the man that Dillon was: funny, loving, giving, and above all, a friend.

“I want everybody to please always remember him. Never forget him and never forget how he made you feel,” said Brittany Lockwood, Dillon’s mother.

There was laughter and smiles, but also tears and anger as Dillon’s loved ones reflected on his life and the way that it was cut short. His minister, friends, uncle, co-worker, parents and siblings all shared their personal stories of Dillon.
