Baton Rouge, LA : 23-year-old man dies after crashing motorcycle in median early Thursday, September 22, 2016

A 23-year-old motorcyclist died in Baton Rouge after crashing into a median early Thursday, a police official said.

Jordan Morgan, of 4755 Winnebago St., was traveling northbound on the inside lane of South Foster Drive on his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle when he "failed to negotiate a curve" and struck the median, Baton Rouge Police spokesman Sgt. Don Coppola said in a report.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash at 12:45 a.m., and speed may have been a factor, Coppola said.

The incident is still under investigation.
