A man was flown to a Charlotte hospital in a helicopter after a head-on collision between his SUV and a logging truck Tuesday afternoon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Lance Cpl. Gary Miller of the S.C. Highway Patrol said the injured man, a 46-year-old from Heath Springs, was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer SUV.
The other man, a 64-year-old from Lancaster, was driving a 2011 Freightliner Truck and was not injured, Miller said.
The injured man was driving east on S.C. 903 and the truck driver was driving west just before 12:30 p.m. about five miles east of Lancaster, Miller said.
