Jacksonville, FL : Pedestrian clinging to life after Westside crash on Wednesday, December 7th, 2016
A pedestrian was clinging to life Wednesday evening after he was struck by a vehicle near where Lane Avenue meets Ramona Boulevard on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Officers and paramedics responding to the crash about 5:45 p.m. found the unconscious man lying in the intersection and bleeding from the head, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said the man, whose name has not been released, was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with traffic homicide investigators, police said.
