OMAHA, NE : 3 men injured, 1 critically in crash near 120th, Franklin on Wednesday, 27th March 2019
Three people were taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, with one in critical condition after a crash near 120th and Franklin streets Wednesday morning.
Just after 10:0o a.m., officers responded to a personal injury crash at 120th and Franklin streets.Officials said a truck was traveling north on 120th Street when the driver, Steven May, 44, of Omaha, ran into the back of a parked Ford pickup, which had a construction trailer with a signal arrow bar attached to it.
The Ford was part of a contractor work crew that was filling potholes.
The Ford was pushed forward, striking a pedestrian construction worker, who was filling potholes. The worker, later identified as Sergio Rodriguez-Lopez, 24, of Omaha, then struck his head on a steel bucket of a skid loader which had asphalt in it, police said.
Another construction worker who was in the street, Jesus A. Anguiano, 21, of Omaha, suffered a minor leg injury in the collision.
