Aloha, OR : One person dead, several injured, in multiple car crash in Washington County on Tuesday, Sep 1, 2015

A 20-year-old woman died in a seven-vehicle crash that left several people injured Tuesday
evening, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened on TV Highway and Southwest 185th Avenue at about 7 p.m.

The woman who died was a passenger in a red Honda Civic.

Six people were injured.

According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, several of the injured people were in
serious condition.

Six cars were stopped at the red light on eastbound TV Highway at 185th Avenue, sheriff's
spokesman Bob Ray said, when a pickup truck pulling a trailer slammed into the cars. The
pickup truck ended up on its roof in the parking lot of a nearby Chevron station, he said.

Three dogs were in the cars and one was injured, Ray said.

Alan Scatamacchia, a gas station attendant at the Chevron, said the crash looked like a
Monster Truck maneuver.

"The truck that you now see overturned was barreling through the others, and it kind of
went up and over "Dukes of Hazard" style over the rest of the other vehicles -- probably
three or four other vehicles. It like climbed over," he said.

Marc Halverson witnessed the aftermath of the crash.

"Cars flipped over everywhere," he said. "A guy running over with a fire extinguisher
putting out a car, people running from outside of this parking lot, the sides, people
hysterical like flipping out."

Police said they believe the other five victims will survive as will the driver they
believe caused the crash.

TV Highway is closed between 185th and 198th and will be until at least 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Officials are asking drivers to avoid the area.
