Immokalee, FL : Three people dead following a southwest Florida crash on Thursday, March 17, 2016

Authorities say three people are dead following a southwest Florida crash.

Local media outlets report that the crash occurred Thursday.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a car heading south on State Route 29 near Immokalee moved into the oncoming lane and collided with a van.

The woman driving the car died at the scene, and the two men in the van died later at hospitals.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
