Town of Elba, WI : Four people injured in a two car crash in Dodge County on Wednesday, March 18, 2015
Four people were injured following a crash at the intersection of Highways 16/60 and T Wednesday at 5:15 p.m.
According to a press release issued by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary investigation shows that Dakota C. Szychowski, 21, Waterloo, was driving a 2010 Toyota south on Highway T and was approaching the stop sign with Highways 16/60. Grant R. Steger, 63, Juneau, was driving a 1993 Pontiac van east on Highway 16/60. The Toyota entered the intersection and was struck by the Pontiac van.
Szchowski sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported by EMS to Columbus Community Hospital. Patricia A. Vandeberg, 66, from Waupun, was a passenger in the right front seat of the Pontiac van, she sustained minor injuries and was transported to Columbus Memorial Hospital. Kelly L. Steger, 61, Juneau, was a passenger in the second row of the Pontiac van. She sustained severe injuries and was transported to Columbus Memorial Hospital but later flown by MedFlight helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. Grant Steger sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Columbus Hospital.
Highway 16/60 was closed for approximately one hour while the crash was being investigated.
Assisting with the crash were Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Emergency Response Team, Columbus Fire Department, Lifestar EMS, Marshall EMS and a MedFlight helicopter.
