Texarkana, AR : Two women's were killed in a seprate crashes at 5800 block of East 9th Street On Monday, May 30th, 2016

Police in Arkansas say 2 separate crashes claimed the lives of 2 women over the weekend.

Texarkana, AR police say one of the wrecks happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of East 9th Street.

A dark blue Chevy Cavalier attempting to make a left turn was hit from behind by a white Chevy Tahoe, according to police.

The driver of the Cavalier, identified as 25-year-old Deborah Tilley of Texarkana, AR, died at the scene.

The driver and passengers of the Tahoe received minor injuries.

In a separate incident on Saturday, police say a woman died when the SUV she was a riding in on Interstate 30 near Friendship went off the interstate and rolled into several trees after a tire blew out.

The woman was identified as 73-year-old Shirley Cooper of Hope, AR.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for their injuries.
