Alhambra, CA : 1 dead in crash between Metro bus and car on 10 Freeway in Alhambra on Tuesday, 30th April 2019

One person was killed when a car rear-ended a stalled Metro Silver Line bus Tuesday night and caught fire on the 10 Freeway in Alhambra.The victim was in the car, which hit the bus at about 8:10 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Fremont Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. That individual never emerged from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.

The bus, which was stalled out because of an electrical problem, had four passengers and a driver aboard, but none of them were injured, according to Jose Ubaldo of Metro.

The express lanes and two left main lanes were closed as a result of the crash and a SigAlert was issued, the CHP reported.
