Two motorcyclists were hurt in a Fourth of July crash after crashing with an alleged drunken driver near Fischer Park.
Kristen B. Sewell, 46, of the 100 block of Waters Edge Circle, Town of Burlington, was charged Wednesday with two misdemeanor counts of causing injury-operating while intoxicated.
According to a criminal complaint, Sewell pulled out of the parking lot of Al’s gas station, 304011 Durand Ave., Town of Burlington, at about 4:30 p.m. in front of the two motorcycles. The motorcyclists then collided with Sewell’s vehicle and were thrown from their bikes.
One of the motorcyclists was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa due to potential head injuries and also had several broken bones, according to the complaint. She told sheriff’s deputies she had no memory of the crash. The other motorcyclist was also taken to an area hospital.
