Phoenix, AZ : Rollover crash in Mesa involve same car on Monday, 23rd March, 2020

Phoenix police and the Arizona Department of Public Safety are investigating a shooting in Phoenix and a crash involving the same car on the U.S. 60 near Mesa.

Police responded around 4:50 a.m. Monday to a call about gunshots and a car leaving the area of East Baseline Road and 44th Street, according to a Phoenix police news release.

As officers arrived on the scene, DPS reported a rollover crash on the U.S. 60 and Dobson Road with a vehicle matching the description of the one that left the Phoenix scene, police said.

The driver and an adult female passenger were taken to a hospital with gunshot injuries, police said.

Both were uncooperative and declined to help in the prosecution, police said.

At this time, a description of the suspect and cause of the collision are unknown.

The investigation is ongoing.
