Westminster, VT : 26-year-old Benjamin Watkins died after collision with an SUV in Westminster on Sunday, Aug 9, 2015

Vermont State Police believe a motorcyclist's speed was a major factor in a collision with an SUV in Westminster that led to his death.

Police say 26-year-old Benjamin Watkins of Westminster was driving on Kurn Hattin Road on Sunday night when he collided with the driver. Watkins was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered injuries that led to his death. He was wearing a helmet.

The driver of the SUV, 38-year-old Morgan Potter of Westminster, was not hurt.

Police are still investigating the crash.
