Las Vegas, NV : Scooter rider critically injured in collision with car on Flamingo road on Friday evening, February 27, 2015

A man was critically injured Friday evening after his scooter collided with a car in ??the southwest part of the valley.

The incident occurred about 10:25 p.m., when a 2014 Tao Tao scooter traveling east on Flamingo Road approached an intersection with Cameron Street, police said.

A 2009 Honda Accord was turning left from westbound Flamingo Road onto southbound Cameron Street when it hit the scooter, causing the rider to eject onto the street, police said.

The man was taken to UMC with critical injuries. The driver of the Honda remained at the scene, police said.

The incident was under investigation.
