One person was killed and two were sent to a hospital with injuries in a head-on collision on Old Kings Road in Palm Coast early Saturday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Just after 2 a.m., a 2001 Toyota Camry was driving south on Old Kings Road in the northbound lane, FHP said. At the same time, a 2011 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling north in the same northbound lane, resulting in a wreck, the FHP reported.

The Highway Patrol said the front of the Camry struck the front of the Pathfinder causing the Camry to rotate clockwise and facing southwest in the inside left turn lane of Old Kings Road. The driver, a 37-year-old male from Palm Coast, was pronounced dead at Halifax Hospital. The Pathfinder rotated counter clockwise and stopped facing northwest in the inside left turn lane of Old Kings Road. The driver of the Pathfinder, Marlene Adams, 65, and her passenger, Clifford Adams, 70, both of Palm Coast, were taken to Florida Hospital Flagler.
