Indianapolis, IN : Uniondale man hurt in Huntington County crash on Friday, March 17th 2017

A Uniondale man received minor injuries Friday night in a single-vehicle crash in Huntington County.
Indiana State Police report that a 1992 Chevrolet van driven by 58-year-old Karl M. Ramsey was traveling eastbound on U.S. 24 approaching a curve near Old U.S. 24. Ramsey reportedly looked down at his cell phone and failed to negotiate the curve.
Ramsey's vehicle went over an embankment and down into a ditch, coming to rest vertically, with the rear of the van up in the air. Ramsey, who was seatbelted at the time, was transported to Parkview Huntington Hospital with minor injuries. He was released a short time later.
The Huntington Police Department, the Huntington County Sheriff’s Department, the Huntington Fire Department and Parkview Huntington EMS assisted Indiana State Police at the crash.
