MANATEE COUNTY, FL : Troopers Hit-and-run killed Sarasota bike rider on Friday, 22nd March 2024

A 28-year-old man was killed after being hit on his bicycle by a red sedan on Friday night.

The Sarasota man was riding his bike around 9 p.m. on State Road 70 in the pedestrian crosswalk when he was hit by the car, according to a news release by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The pedestrian flew off his bike and the car drove away. The bike rider was transported to Blake Hospital where he died from his injuries on Saturday.
