Monroe County, IN : Greenwood man died after a motorcycle accident near Bloomington on Sunday afternoon , May 22, 2016

An accident on Ind. 446 and East Hays Road resulted in the death of a motorcyclist Sunday evening when the driver of a motorcycle and a sedan towing a boat collided.

Members of the Bloomington Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at 4:24 p.m.

When they arrived at 4:24 p.m. they found a bystander performing CPR on 20-year-old Kyle Knuth of Greenwood. The bystander had been performing CPR for nearly 20 minutes.

Knuth was later pronounced dead at IU Health Bloomington Hospital due to massive blunt force trauma, despite having worn a helmet.

An accident report was not available this morning.
