Victoria, TX : Two people seriously injured in Single vehicle crash early Sunday morning, October 23, 2016

A vehicle crashed into a shed and a tree early Sunday morning, sending the driver and the passenger to hospitals with major injuries, police said.

At 3:08 a.m., Victoria Police Department officers responded a one-vehicle crash at 2210 E. North Street, Sgt. Herschel Buck said. A silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup was headed west on East North Street when the vehicle traveled off the road and crashed into a shed and a tree, Buck said.

The driver, Orlando Faz, 37, of Victoria, was seriously injured, transported to Citizens Medical Center and later airlifted to San Antonio Military Medical Center, Buck said. The passenger, Stephanie Ellison, 50, of Victoria, was also seriously injured, transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro and later airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio.

Faz's condition was not available. Ellison was in critical condition.

At the time of the crash, Faz was not wearing a seatbelt, Buck said. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
