Macclenny, FL : Norman Corkran, 75, died, another injured in a crash on Interstate 10 in Baker County on Monday afternoon, June 6, 2016

One man was killed and one woman was injured in a crash in Baker County that occurred during bad weather Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers identified the man killed as Norman Corkran, 75, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana.

The wreck happened about 1:15 p.m. on Interstate 10 eastbound, just east of State Road 121.

According to FHP, Corkran was driving a Lincoln Town Car when he lost control and the vehicle began to rotate, crashing into two small marker posts on the shoulder of the roadway. The car continued to rotate until it struck a large tree.

The 75-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries, troopers said.
