Wichita, KS : Woman, 82, dies in crash at 13th, Rock Road on April, Friday 14th 2017

A medical condition has been blamed for a crash that killed an 82-year-old woman Friday night in east Wichita, authorities said.

The one-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 6:15 p.m., police Officer Paul Cruz said. Officers responding to the location learned the woman was driving south in the inside lane of Rock Road when her black car drifted across the center line into northbound traffic and eventually struck the curb.

The vehicle then left the roadway and struck a utility pole north of 13th and Rock Road. She was pinned in the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene.
