ELWOOD, NE : Two people hospitalized in Thursday Elwood accident on Thursday, 11th August, 2016
Two people were hospitalized as a result of a two-vehicle accident north of Elwood at about 5:25 p.m. Thursday.
According to a Gosper County Sheriff’s Office press release, Delwin Elmore, 75, of Holdrege was westbound in a 1998 Dodge pickup pulling a camper on Road 746 when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His pickup was struck by a 2005 Chevy pickup driven by Andrew Krings, 25, of Elwood. Krings was driving north on 430 Road.
Krings and Elmore were transported to Lexington Regional Health Center where they were treated and released. Both vehicles were totaled. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
The sheriff’s office was assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol.
