Cottondale, AL : One person died in a single-vehicle crash north of Cottondale on Monday, May 4, 2015

An unidentified driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash north of Cottondale, Alabama State Troopers said Monday.

The crash occurred on Alabama 216 around 12:50 a.m. when the car left the road and overturned several times in a ditch. The car then caught fire.

According to a release, the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences is working to identify the driver as troopers continue to investigate the crash.
