VIRGINIA BEACH, VA : Virginia Beach police investigating deadly crash involving car and bicyclist on Tuesday, 20th February 2024

A person is dead following a crash involving a car and a bicyclist at Princess Anne Rd. and Lynnhaven Parkway, according to police.Police say the crash was reported just after 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

The preliminary investigations indicate that a sedan traveling eastbound on Princess Anne Rd. collided with a bicyclist, now identified as 23-year-old James Beckles IV, who was traveling southbound across Princess Anne Rd.

Police say the impact threw Beckles into the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
