Hudson Falls, N.Y : Four injured in Hudson Falls crash on Monday afternoon, March 13, 2017
Four people were hurt Monday afternoon when two cars collided head-on on River Street, police said.
The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection with Park Place.
Hudson Falls Police Sgt. Jeff Gaulin said the injuries did not appear life-threatening. Names of those involved were not immediately available.
A sedan heading west on River Street veered into the oncoming lane, hitting an eastbound Mercury sedan in the sharp curve just east of Park Place. The driver of the Mercury had to be extricated by Hudson Falls firefighters.
Gaulin said the driver at fault said she did not know what caused her to cross into the oncoming lane.
River Street was expected to be closed for more than an hour, causing major traffic issues in downtown Hudson Falls.
