Waukesha County , WI :Two people seriously injured in head - on Crash along State Highway 164 on Thursday morning ,April 16 2015

Two people were seriously injured Thursday in a head-on crash in the Town of Lisbon, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.

The crash was reported about 9 a.m. on State Highway 164 south of Riverview Drive, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

According to the release, a 23-year-old Merton man was southbound on Highway 164 when he apparently crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by 47-year-old Delafield woman.

Both drivers, who were the only occupants of the vehicles, were taken to hospitals, the man by helicopter and the woman by ambulance, according to the release.

The crash remained under investigation.
