Richland County, SC : Pedestrian was killed while walking on Interstate 20 early Sunday morning on September 28, 2014
The Richland County Coroner has identified a pedestrian who was killed while walking on Interstate 20 early Sunday morning.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash occurred on eastbound I-20 at the 71 mile marker, near Main Street, at about 1:50 a.m. Sunday. A person walking in the roadway was hit by a car and killed.
The victim was identified as Kedrick Dewarren Glymph, 33, of Craven Street, Columbia. He died at the scene.
Troopers say the victim was wearing dark-colored clothing. Investigators do not know why Glymph was in the road.
The Richland County Coroner has not released the victim's name yet.
The driver of the vehicle and his passenger were taken to the hospital. Troopers say they were wearing seat belts.
The crash is under investigation.
