A young man was killed Thursday morning in a single-vehicle crash that closed a portion of North Academy Boulevard for several hours.
According to Colorado Springs Police, the crash happened about 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Brookwood Drive and North Academy Boulevard. The crash closed North Academy Boulevard between Woodmen Road and Dublin Boulevard
until 8:15 a.m.
Police say the young man was in a dark SUV that was headed north on Academy when the vehicle rolled over. Speed appears to be a factor.
The man’s identity, and other details of the crash, have not been released.
