Carlisle, PA : Coroner called to I-81 crash near Plainfield exit on Monday, October, 16th 2017

Crews responded to a crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in South Middleton Township early Monday morning.

According to police, a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle happened around 3 a.m. Monday near milepost 43, just south of the Plainfield exit.

The coroner was called to the scene of the crash.

Police say a man riding the motorcycle was killed in the crash. A woman was also riding the motorcycle.

As of 6:30 a.m., both lanes were back open.

No other information has been released.
