STOCKTON, CA : 1 dead after driver crashes into oncoming traffic near French Camp on Sunday, 16th June 2024

One person died after hitting oncoming traffic while trying to pass another car near French Camp Sunday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported in the area of Bowman and Manthey roads around 12 p.m.

Police said the driver of a Nissan Ultima was going at a high rate of speed behind a black Mazda 3, tried to pass it and crashed into oncoming traffic. The driver lost control of the car and overturned multiple times before landing on its tires.
