Griswold, CT : CT state police Man killed in head-on crash in Griswold on Monday, 26th June 2023

A man was killed in a head-on crash in Griswold Monday, police said.

Zenon Zawadzki, 73, who was driving a 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross ES east on Voluntown Road, was involved in a head-on collision at about 9:22 p.m. with a 2009 Ford F550 Super Duty being driven by a 29-year-old Rhode Island man who was heading west on the same road and allegedly failed to stay in the correct lane, according to Connecticut State Police.

Zawadzki, a Griswold resident, was taken to Backus Hospital in Norwich where he died, state police said.
