A 55-year-old Wadsworth man died from injuries sustained in an early Saturday morning crash on Erhart Road, authorities said.
At 12:30 a.m., Eric Wells was traveling north on Erhart Road, just north of Branch Road, when his 2000 Buick Century struck the front end of a Kia Sorento driven by 52-year-old Marie Swisher of Medina, who was attempting to turn left out of a private driveway onto Erhart, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Wells, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital, where he died from his injuries, the patrol said.
Swisher initially was transported to Medina Hospital before being flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
A hospital spokeswoman said Swisher was in stable condition Sunday.
Patrol Sgt. Alan Dunbar said no further information was available.
“The officer that is handling it, he has information, but he hasn’t officially entered it into the case,” Dunbar said Sunday. “He had quite a few calls for service last night.”
