OTTAWA COUNTY, OH : 1 dead, 2 injured following 2-vehicle crash on S.R. 19 on Saturday, 29th June 2019

A Carey man is dead following a two-vehicle accident in Ottawa County Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred on State Route 19 near mile post 7 around 3 p.m.

Ralph T. Davis, 63, of Richwood, was heading southbound on State Route 19, while Rodney L. Traxler, 66, of Carey, was driving northbound on the same road.Davis drove left of the center line causing Traxler to swerve to avoid. Both vehicles drove off the east side of the road where Davis hit Traxler head-on. Traxler’s vehicle then struck a utility pole.

Traxler suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to Walker Funeral Home. He was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
