Sacramento, CA : Head-on crash injures 7 teens, 2 children on Tuesday, August 7, 2017
Ten people, including seven teenagers and two young children, were hurt in a head-on collision in North County Tuesday, authorities said.
The collision occurred on Elfin Forest Road at Harmony Grove Road, near the Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve, about 8:30 a.m. A Toyota 4Runner overturned onto its side and then was struck head-on by another Toyota 4Runner, according to the California Highway Patrol and Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District.
Seven teenagers were in the 4Runner that overturned, and a woman and two children were in the other SUV.
All occupants were taken to three different hospitals with moderate to serious injuries, authorities said.
