South Brunswick, New Jersey
Police say a distracted driver crashed into a utility police, splitting his car in half.
The crash occurred Sunday afternoon near Davidson Mill Road and Gregory Court in South Brunswick.
Police say it appeared the 23-year-old driver was trying to prevent an object from blowing out his car window when he lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit the pole. Downed wires started a brush fire, which firefighters extinguished.
Police say the man did not sustain serious injuries. His name has not been released.
