Man killed in motorcycle accident in Jefferson County Alabama
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says the driver of a motorcycle was killed and three more people were injured in a head on collision Monday night.
According to deputies, the adult male driver of the motorcycle was traveling west on Clay Palmerdale Road when he attempted to pass approximately four vehicles. The motorcycle struck a car traveling east head on around 6:40 p.m. Jan. 28.
The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The adult female in the car was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital. An eight-year-old female in the car was airlifted to Children's of Alabama Hospital and a five-year-old male was taken to Children's Hospital by ambulance.The sheriff's office has not yet released the name of the man who was killed.
