Castle Dale, UT : Man dead after Emery County crash on Saturday, April 1, 2017
One man died after a collision Saturday at the intersection of two Emery County highways.
Police identified the man as 41-year-old Trevor Lutes, of Orangeville.
Lutes was driving a car east on State Route 29 about a mile northeast of Castle Dale about 12:30 p.m., a Utah Highway Patrol news release said. Lutes ran a stop sign where the road ends and intersects with State Route 10, the release said. Another car was headed south and crashed into the Lutes' driver's side.
Lutes died at a hospital, according to the release.
Troopers are investigating alcohol as a factor that may have contributed to the crash, the release said.
