A motorcycle rider died in a hospital just minutes after a crash involving another vehicle in La Cañada Flintridge on Sunday, Jan. 19.
The man who died was riding north along Angeles Crest Highway (2) when he collided with a vehicle that was traveling along Gould Mesa, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. Chad Smeltzer said. First responders were dispatched at about 9:08 a.m., and the rider was transported to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at about 9:37 a.m. His identity was not immediately released.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash waited for authorities to arrive, Smeltzer said. Investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision, and nobody was taken into custody or cited in connection with the incident as of Sunday evening.
