Mayfield, KY : New Mexico man killed in a single vehicle crash in Graves County on Saturday, June 11, 2016
Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon reports that a New Mexico was killed in a single vehicle collision on Saturday, June 11.
Deputies were dispatched to the 4300 block of Central Road around 4 p.m. after receiving a 911 call. Upon arrival, deputies found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
The caller, who was at the scene, said he came upon the wreck and attempted to check to see if it was occupied, but was forced back by the intense heat.
The fire was extinguished and the coroner’s office was notified.
An investigation showed that Anacleto Montez- Oronia, 36, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was driving southbound on Central Road when his vehicle crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway and struck a tree head on. The vehicle burst into flames upon impact.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Mayfield/Graves County EMS, the Graves County Rescue Squad, the Mayfield Fire Department, Sedalia Fire Department and the Graves County Coroner’s Office.
