Augusta,GA : Georgia man killed in motorcycle accident on September, Friday 29th 2017
A Georgia man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred Friday evening on Lee Road 207 in Smiths Station.
At approximately 11:50 p.m., authorities received a 911 call of a single motorcycle accident in the 2100 block of Lee Road 207 in Smiths Station. Upon arrival, by Lee County Sheriff’s deputies, EAMC EMS, CARE ambulance, Alabama State Troopers and Smiths Station Fire and Rescue, they located 49-year-old Timothy “Tim” Scot Delbridge Sr., of Columbus, Ga., with no signs of life, according to a release from Lee County Coroner Bill Harris.
Delbridge was killed when the motorcycle he was driving left the road and struck a tree. Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced Delbridge dead at the scene.
The 14-year-old passenger with Delbridge suffered multiple injuries and was transported by ambulance to Columbus Midtown Medical Center for treatment. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
