A 28-year-old Fort Myers man is in serious condition after he was hit by a car early Wednesday on U.S. 41 in Estero.
Christopher Bidzinski was taken with serious injuries to Lee Memorial Hospital following the crash, which occurred at 1:12 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
Bidzinski, who troopers report had been drinking, was walking west across U.S. 41 outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the right side of a 1994 Buick station wagon driven by Jeremy Levi Woodruff, 29, of Naples. The accident occurred in the center lane of the highway as the car was northbound approaching Williams Road near Coconut Point mall.
