Volusia County, FL : Driver sought in deadly Volusia County hit-and-run on early Saturday morning, July 19, 2014

Troopers are searching for the vehicle that was involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Volusia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers were dispatched to a crash where John Jones, 50, of Ormond Beach, was found in the roadway of U.S. 1, near Lowndes Avenue.

Jones was struck by an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction. The exact time of the crash has not been determined, but Jones was located around 12:51 a.m., the report states.
