BULLHEAD CITY, AZ : Two die in separate accidents on Tuesday, 8th November 2016
An 87-year-old man is dead after a motor vehicle accident Tuesday morning.
At about 10:50 a.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident at Highway 95 and Newberry Drive in Bullhead City.
According to spokeswoman Emily Fromelt of the Bullhead City Police Department, an 87-year-old Bullhead City man driving a Toyota Camry turned left onto northbound Highway 95 from Newberry.
He turned in front of a southbound Dodge pickup, she said.
The resulting T-bone collision caused the Toyota to leave the roadway and slide down an embankment.
Bullhead City Fire Department paramedics arrived and extricated the driver.
He was airlifted from the scene to a Las Vegas hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.
The highway was shut down for about 45 minutes and traffic was rerouted.
The name of the deceased will not be released until next of kin has been notified, Fromelt said, and the accident is still under investigation.
